Crash on start or “21MB save disk error” – install Steam and start it once to update, you don’t need to login (https://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/client/installer/SteamSetup.exe).
Small Steam-fix is included in new V3 version, it may help some users, but one of my test machines still required full Steam client installation. Both 1st and 2nd cracks are included in “_Cracks” folder just in case if you want to go back to the previous version.

This game need Good Requirements, especially Graphics Card, if your GPU performance is below Minimum Requirements, you’ll facing serious fps drop (especially when cutscene played, happen after you visit the village, my 1050 drop from 60 to 19-22).
This game is not stable, I’ve already benchmark it with Windows Game Bar on my GTX 1080 GPU, GPU Usage will be 80% if cutscene will play, but will drop to 50% if there is no cutscene will play.
nahhh man…GTX1050 is more better for handle RE Village!
for me RE Engine is far more Amazing and Stable better than Ubisoft…RE engine it easy to achieved higher FPS,
maybe you have problem driver update or software bugs…
make sure
1. latest update your GPU driver
2. latest update your Windows 10/21H1
then
3. reinstall game, dont forget to crack
4. open and login steam, add RE village to library before launch game

Not just install steam you also need to create an account,
it works for me
Copy your steam save files from here: X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata(steamID)\1196590\remote\win64_save
Paste here: C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\EMPRESS\1196590\remote\1196590\remote\win64_save
Go to RE8 Folder
Open Steam-emu.ini
Go to this site = Steamid.xyz
Copy and paste on the site your SteamID that you can find Here = C:\Program File(x86)\Steam\userdata(steamID)..
Now copy Steam64 ID (on site) and paste on Steam ID (in Steam-emu.ini) and remove #
Copy your nickname (Steamid.xyz) to username (Steam-emu.ini)
Done
