The game is developed for Win 10, so it won’t be available for Win 7. And bugs are reported from the original game, not the CODEX release.

I buy legit version last year and has complete single player campaign multiple times, never encounter any problem you mention above. Awesome game and one of 2016 best shooting game

game not working it showing after menu in game choose save game location i set for example my documents new folder then normal go new game easy after that when click save slot showing error

is anybody experiencing system crash to desktop? after clicking the icon it shows the gears logo then in just a matter of sec then goes to desktop..

NOTE: This will work only on windows 10.. hope you all are running on latest version of windows 10.
Okay, after lot of working and power shell editing i got the game to work
1. Mount the DVD and install the game
2. Once its installed (be it on C or any other un-encrypted drive) check if the app shows up in start menu
3. If GOW item doesn’t show up in start menu, go to the folder of where its installed.. in my case F:\Users\xxxxxx xxxxxx\UniversalApps\Gears of War 4\AppFiles and open command prompt there with admin credentials
4. run InstallApp.exe file and if it says “done” you should find the file in start menu
5. If you get any error open power shell and run “get-appxpackage -all”
6. Identify the package which says “spartaUWP” and run in the same power shell “remove-appxpackage Microsoft*** spartaUWP ** ” – so basically the full package name
7. Once you remove the package, repeat point 4 and you should be good
8. Disconnect from the internet and play it will work

even with internet off, still the game shuts off after you start the game, and i i ahve windows 10 build 1709, and everything installed like visual c++ and stuff like that dx, and all software that the game requires.
It is not like its the first game that i have in my pc:D.
I have one problem. After installing the game, I went to start menu to launch the game. However, I could not find it. I searched for it in programs as well but it’s not there. I uninstalled and reinstalled it but still not appearing at the start menu. Please help me guys

Hi, I need help. Can someone confirm if it is necessary to have the windows store installed for the game to work? I have updated W10 version 1607, but uninstall all the microsoft trash including the store a while ago, the game installs well and the icon appears in the start menu but when executing it, the gears black screen appears a few seconds and the game closes, I’ve already tried everything (block in the firewalll, make a rule for the exe., even turn off the network adapter and disconnect the cable, but still not working, any ideas ????
yes, some people use win10 lite edition. It needs full version. People who could not find game start menu, make sure u run installapp as administrator and it says done…then u will see the menu.

My game doesn’t save. After restarting the game the save game dissappears. And if I return to main menu while playing without quitting the game all together and try to load the save game it says” you have been returned to main menu. you have lost connection to the host” help please.

well, guys i have the most strange bug ever. When i am on mission powerless and we have to split into two teams between generator and power deck when i am on my way the doors are closed and i can not access that area. Has someone had the same issue? if you do please let me know how to fix it in the comments below.

el juego se instalo y se pudo jugar normalmente.
el juego ya esta bloqueado por firwall
el problema fue cuando entre en el modo Horda y multiplayer por simple curiosidad. salio conectado, asi que cancele.
a los segundos el juego se congelo y no respondio mas.
reinstale pero el mismo fallo sigue.

there is no install note it just stated that install and let the installer copy the crack for u, that’s wat I did and its still giving me the license issue, someone said it doesn’t work on version 1909 and that’s the windows version I have how true is this pls?? is that why its telling me to get license???

does not work, even if you turn off the internet completly, installer app does not put it in the start Menu, there is just nothing.
Even if you put the .dll files with the .exe in Binaries file it just wont launch.
